I can’t do anything with the robe a la francaise until I buy more thread and since I live in London I don’t have a US drivers license and I have a lazy brother who can drive but the keyword is lazy so I can’t do anything until my mom gets home.
(I realize that is pitiful but seriously you guys don’t want me driving. I’ll run you over and won’t even know how to put the car in reverse to come back and make sure you are alive. I get confused about which side of the road I’m supposed to be on ;{ Trust me it’s better that I don’t drive.)
Back to what I was originally saying. I am now plotting what I want to do with the trims. I want to decorate the front, maybe some very pretty box pleats or even something like this.
After trolling through various databases and getting a magnifying glass after my books I have come to the conclusion that fly fringe is very, very pretty. From the looks of it it’s also very simple.
Now my question is do I really want to make that much fly fringe?
Edit: My mind is made up I am going to do it. Also quaintrelle-life linked me to an amazing tutorial she made about fly fringe: http://www.quaintrellelife.com/fly_fringe.html
Cheers!
This is why I must learn to sew! Teach me your ways, O ornamentedbeing!
the question is more why wouldn’t you want to make that much fringe?
