I am so proud of all of my friends who were able to participate in this gorgeous event!

Just once I want to turn on the news and hear this!! It’s cold, rainy, I have a fitting, and even though Sherlock has made me wary of taxis I will be taking one from the station to uni.
Well Paradise it’s been lovely, I can’t even begin to put into words how much I have enjoyed our Tuesdays together. I’m having a hard time trying to come to terms with the fact that we won’t see each other until next year. I graduate in June so if all goes according to plan and I’m able to find a job I will be able to sit down in the fall of 2013 and watch you and Sherlock. It’s going to be a long wait.
I’m going to go cry in the corner now.

It’s been six months since I discovered this fandom and I’ve never been able to bring myself to watch the last episode.
After 30 pages my dissertation draft is finished and because I swear I’m developing carpal tunnel (Dear Lord I’m only 22!) I think I need to take a break from the computer and sewing machine.
I’m going to make a cuppa, get the tissues, and watch the last episode.

Looking through my photos I think Pauline’s corset is on wrong also. It looks like the bust gussets are at her hips.
I have a massive dissertation presentation tomorrow and because I like to always end powerpoints with something that leaves the audience smiling I have decided that my last slide will be of Prince Arthur, 1st Duke of Connaught and Strathearn in fancy dress.

Another fabulous costume from the BBC series ‘Elizabeth R’. This one is based on the Phoenix Jewel. Black fabric (not velvet?) with gold embroidery, pearls and gold buttons. Gold lace sleeve and neck ruffles. White satin false puffs on bodice. Underskirt is cream damask.
