I woke up to two surprises this morning.
1) The temperature was 6 degrees in my house. I think that was the fastest I have ever run downstairs to get to the thermostat!
2) The FOG justs keeps rolling in. I took this photo about ten minutes ago and I’m sitting at the table with my tea and you can hardly see the tree now.
If you’ve ever seen 13th Warrior you know fog like this can only mean the Wendol are coming. Lucky for me my fencing swords are within reach and I will not hesitate to go Valkyrie on anyone who decides creeping through the fog is fun -_-
Here is the moon rising over the Thames.
My swans had BABIES!!!!
Ok so they aren’t my swans but I am quite fond of them. I feed them (fresh bread and lettuce don’t worry I’ve already read up on what to feed them) and I have lovingly named them Vickie and Bertie.
Anyway back to the babies! They have four cygnets named Alfred, Louise, Leopold and Beatrice (cookies if you get the reference to the names). The photo of the cygnet eating with his parents above is Alfred. I’ve noticed he hangs out with his parental unit more than his sibs!
;}
I must interrupt the regency spam to inform you guys that my doors are wide open and there is a pelican creature eating lunch on my terrace and I’m a little too scared to get my camera so I drew you pictures.
I’m vaguely hungry now and I’m worried if I make a sudden move I might scare it and then it’ll choke and I’ll have a big bird stuck on my terrace.
I’m not dead!! *waves* I have internet for the next 23 hours woot woot!
I’m all moved in which is a huge relief.
Goodness gracious I don’t know where to start! My closet is like a dream closet!! I walked in and sat down in the floor and cried. It’s beautiful. There are large open spaces that fit my petticoats and all of my costumes with room left over. It’s a long walk in closet with enough room for all of my clothes and my massive shoe fetish! I ended up having an entire set of drawers in the closet left over which I immediately claimed for my fabric and costuming.
The Thames is quite a surprise! When the tide went out it became a little channel. There were spots you could walk/swim out too. I’m really tempted to do this just to be able to say “Yeah, I’ve stood in the middle the Thames. No biggie.” Don’t worry I won’t!
Speaking of the Thames one of the guys on the stroke! stroke! boats smacked a swan by mistake. I went back in and turned at the sound of a splash and people yelling. I witnessed first hand how vicious Swans are. You think they are pretty and graceful. No. They are evil and loud!!!
Ok I’m rambling anyway I’m so happy! I need to go work on fixing my room since my bed has vanished under a steadily growing pile of stuff!!!! Ta loves!!!!!
