If you are going to remake a movie that doesn’t need to be remade at least have the decency to stick to the original setting and have the actors in appropriate 20s attire.
They are going to massacre one of my favorite books. It’s like a car accident. You see it happening but you can’t tear your eyes away.

Farewell to Greatness.
On April 16, 2001 bulldozers razed the storied mansion where F. Scott Fitzgerald partied and which some say inspired his novel ‘The Great Gatsby,’ leaving just a few chimneys standing on Long Island’s Gold Coast on Monday.
The mansion will be replaced by a subdivision of five houses prices at $10 million each.
I feel sad.
